Summary:
Rural Neighborhoods, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit housing and community development organization, seeks an Assistant Property Manager that will support the overseeing and coordination of the property management activities of a property.
To ensure success as Assistant Property Manager, the individual should display excellent customer service skills and related experience.
The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for conducting income certifications on new applicants to ensure that they income qualify, and on an annual basis to certify compliance, and accepts additional assignments and performs administrative duties.
Responsibilities:
Assists the Property Manager with all Property Management and Compliance related activities.
Performs the income recertification of tenants, conducting a thorough timely review of tenant provided information to identify income and assets while following verification guidelines for verifying information.
Supports the Property Manager with the work order system ensuring that all open work orders are completed and closed efficiently in a timely manner, periodically follow-up with residents to ensure resident satisfaction.
Works with maintenance staff to ensure inventory is stocked and tracked.
Inspects the property, addresses any curb appeal issues, and regularly checks grounds and common areas to ensure no safety hazards.
Conducts annual and vacant unit inspections to assess the condition of the property to see if repairs are needed and obtains costs related to needed repairs.
Maintains accurate and organized tenant files.
Assists other team members on sister sites, when available and with the approval of the Property Manager.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
Previous experience as Property Manager, or other related fields preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
