The CNA - Hospice Aide performs personal care, homemaker assistance and defined nursing procedures for patients and their caregivers while under RN direction and supervision.
Qualifications:
o High school diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of education and experienceo Current Florida certificate as CNAo Active BLS for healthcare professionals from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
Employees hired prior to 12/31/2022 must obtain certificate prior to 10/1/2023.
For CNA in a Hospice House, the deadline is 3/31/2023.
o Minimum of six (6) months of CNA or Home Health Aide experienceo Mobile Driver - Valid driver's license and automobile insurance per Company policyo Reliable transportation to meet work scheduleo Ability to use equipment with visual and auditory mechanismso Ability to communicate (written and verbal) in Englisho Ability to manage the emotional stress of working with and caring for ill patients and their familieso Ability to perform the essential functions and physical requirements (including, but not limited to:
lifting patients and/or equipment, bending, pushing/pulling, kneeling) of the job with or without reasonable accommodationo Must be able to physically access any home or facility in assigned area (i.

Job
Responsibilities:
o Maintains competencies/contact hours as required by Company and regulations.
o Provides only patient/caregiver services according to written Aide/Caregiver Plan of Care and Company policies and procedure.
o Practices safe and proper body mechanics relative to moving, positioning and transferring patients.
o Assists patient and or caregiver in maintaining a clean and safe home.
o Provides caregiver relief as part of the Plan of Care.
o Transports supplies, lab specimens, documents and other items needed to meet the Plan of Care as requested by the RN.
o Under the direction or supervision of an RN, the Aide may perform activities that promote activities of daily living.
o Contributes to the development of the Plan of Care by reporting observations to RN.
o Communicates any significant issues or symptoms to the RN or Clinical Manager.
o Performs other duties as assigned.
Some locations may require:
Cross training to field (home/facility/admission) positions of equal licensure/certification and scope when hospice house census calls for flexible staffing.

This position requires consent to drug and/or alcohol testing after a conditional offer of employment is made, as well as on-going compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Policy.
Salary:
$16 per hour.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
